At some point in our lives, we've all been covered in ink from an exploded pen or experienced the joy of a printer ink spill. If any of these mishaps happen to you and you find your carpet is in a st-inky situation (pun intended), don't worry. We've put together some tricks to try using simple everyday items and products.
Here is a step-by-step guide for removing ink from your carpet.
To maintain the upholstery in your home, you should follow these 9 steps:
Vacuum regularly to remove dust and dirt. Use a soft brush attachment when vacuuming to avoid damaging the fabric.
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
Avoid placing wet or damp items on the upholstery to prevent staining, color transfer, or mildew.
Protect from direct sunlight to prevent premature fading or discoloration. While it's unreasonable to avoid all direct light, consider where you place certain upholstered items in your home or shutting curtains/blinds when out of the home to lessen the potential damage.
Schedule yearly professional cleanings to deep clean the fabric and remove any ingrained dirt or spots.
