Will this spot come out?

One question frequently asked over the phone is "Will this spot come out?". Unfortunately that question can be impossible to answer sight unseen due to factors such as: what caused the spot, what was used to treat the spot, how the spot was treated (there could be damage to the carpet fiber if it was scrubbed), how much time has passed, etc. Substances that contain dye (for example: juices, jelly, sodas, sports drinks, etc.) can penetrate the dye sites of the carpet, causing permanent stains that cannot be removed with cleaning, while others can remove dye causing permanent color loss (like acne products or bleach). It's important to clean up spots and spills right away for the best chance of removal. If you need a little extra help, let us know. We come equipped with a wide array of products to tackle any stubborn spot!

What will help my carpet dry faster after a cleaning?

Here are a few helpful tips to expedite the drying process of your carpet after it has been cleaned:

1. Open windows to let air in. The more air, the better.

2. Turn on ceiling fans to facilitate air movement throughout the house.

3. Stay off the carpet as much as possible while it is drying. This is especially important for the first 4 hours after the cleaning.

If you have any questions, let us know. We are here to help!

Carpet Cleaning Myth: Wait to clean your carpet until it is visibly dirty.

Fact: Waiting until your carpet becomes visibly soiled will shorten its lifespan. Why? Dirt contains sharp particles that grind into carpet fibers, causing matting and abrasive damage. This wear can make the carpet appear to look dull and dirty so by the time you think you’re due for a cleaning, the damage has already been done (unfortunately the wear is permanent). While regularly vacuuming your carpet to remove dry soil is helpful, it can’t remove all the soil that has accumulated and settled into the carpet like a professional cleaning can. The best way to protect your investment is with regular cleanings, typically every 6-18 months, depending on your lifestyle.

Carpet Cleaning Myth: Grocery store spotters are safe to use on your carpet.

Fact: This can be disastrous and cause permanent discolorations to your carpet. Many "big name" spotters sold at grocery stores or pet stores cause permanent color loss that may not become evident until the time you have your carpet professionally cleaned. For this reason (and many others), it's super important to do your homework before opting to purchase ANY carpet cleaning product. We want to save you the heartache of using an unsafe spotting product so we provide a complimentary home spotter when you book a carpet cleaning service with us.

Time to schedule a cleaning?

Is it time to schedule a carpet cleaning? Scheduling a cleaning may seem like a daunting task but it can actually be quite simple. In order to set up a cleaning appointment we just need a few pieces of information like your address, the areas you'd like to have cleaned, the square footage of those areas (not necessary but helpful to receive the most accurate estimate), any special cleaning concerns you may have (the wine stain from Aunt Sue, a pet accident, or that your carpet is made of wool), and date(s)/time(s) that would work for your cleaning. Let us know when you are ready to schedule your cleaning appointment. We'd be delighted to hear from you!

Carpet Care Tip: Keep one mat inside your home and one outside your home.

Never worry about dirty shoe-prints again! Using two mats is both effective and practical. The outside mat can be used to remove as much soil as possible from footwear and the one inside can be used for people to stand on as they remove their shoes. It's a simple solution but can help to make those clean floors last as long as possible!
